in PS fehlen Schriftarten

Hallo,

seit ich mein Photoshop neu installiert hab, sind nicht mehr alle Schriften
vorhanden, d.h. ich kann nicht alle Schiftarten verwenden, die im Windows < font-Ordner
liegen; wie kommt das und was kann ich tun, damit sie wieder in PS auftauchen??

Benutze ein Schriftenverwaltungsprogramm wie ATM (Adobe Type Manager) oder Suitcase. Da gibt es weniger Probleme und man kann Schriften deaktivieren, d.h. Ressourcen werden geschont.

...na, was heißt "damit anfangen", ich kann mir jetzt so ein Programm runterladen und mich erst mal damit befassen, wie's funktioniert usw. ...
ich wollte eigentlich nur alle Schriften aus dem font-Ordner wieder in PS haben, that's all, dachte, hier kennt sich vielleicht jemand damit aus oder hatte schon mal dieses Problem ...

PS lädt eigentlich alle Schriftarten, die installiert sind. Und das Problem taucht nur bei PS auf?

A font is a complete set of characters--letters, numbers, and symbols--that share a common weight, width, and style. When you select a font, you can select the font family and its type style independently. The font family is a collection of fonts sharing an overall typeface design: for example, Times. A type style is a variant version of an individual font in the font family: for example, Regular, Bold, or Italic. The range of available type styles varies with each font. If a font doesn't include the style you want, you can apply faux styles--simulated versions of bold, italic, superscript, subscript, all caps, and small caps styles.

In addition to the fonts installed on your system, Photoshop uses font files in these local folders:

Windows

Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Fonts

Mac OS

Library/Application Support/Adobe/Fonts


If you install a Type 1, TrueType, Open Type, or CID font into the local Fonts folder, the font appears in Adobe applications only.

To choose a font family and style:

1. Choose a font family from the Font Family pop-up menu in the Character palette or options bar. If more than one copy of a font is installed on your computer, an abbreviation follows the font name: (T1) for Type 1 fonts, (TT) for TrueType fonts, or (OT) for Open Type fonts.

You can choose a font family and style by typing the desired name in the text box. As you type, the name of the first font or style beginning with that letter appears. Continue typing until the correct font or style name appears. Be sure to deselect the font name before entering new type in the image.
2. To choose a font style, do one of the following:
* Choose a font style from the Font Style pop-up menu in the Character palette or options bar.
* If the font family you chose does not include a bold or italic style, click the Faux Bold button or the Faux Italic button in the Character palette to apply a simulated style. Alternately, choose Faux Bold or Faux Italic from the Character palette menu.
* Use a dynamic shortcut. Dynamic shortcuts are keyboard shortcuts that are available (in edit mode only) for Faux Bold, Faux Italic, All Caps, Small Caps, Superscript, Subscript, Underline, and Strikethrough. For more information on dynamic shortcuts, see Using Dynamic Shortcuts.

Note: You cannot apply Faux Bold formatting to warped type. (See Warping type layers.)

ja, das Probl. war nur in PS und in die Hilfe hatte ich auch schon geschaut
und jetzt nach Neustart sind alle Schriftarten wie von Geisterhand wieder erschienen

Und das wird dir noch öfter so ergehen. Hatte ich auch oft, Und zwar immer dann, wenn ich ziemlich viel gearbeitet hatte mit PS. Ein Neustart von PS reicht dafür nicht aus, nein der Rechner muß neu gestartet werden und alles ist wieder in Butter. Ich gehe davon aus, das es eine Speichersache von einem temporären Speicher ist, der die Verfügbarkeit der Schriften dann irgenwann rausschmeißt wenns zu voll wird. Aber ne genaue Erklärung kann ich leider auch nicht liefern.

Neustart scheint bei Windows irgendwie ein Zauberwort zu sein.
Möglich ist, da man bei PS verschiedene Laufwerke als virtuellen Speicher angeben kann, dort der Fehler zu sitzen scheint.
Ich selbst benutze PS oft und lange, aber mir ist das noch nie passiert...

Falls mal wieder jemand eine Schrift in PS sucht ... teilweise sind die Schriften in der Font-Liste an einer anderen Stelle abgelegt, als zB bei Word

und zur not hilft es manchmal, alle schriften (AUSSER SYSTEMSCHRIFTEN!!!!!!!!) aus dem Font-Ordner zu entfernen und neu zuzuweisen, wenn man den Adobe™-TypeManager nicht hat

dazu gleich noch mal ne Frage:
gibt es eine Möglichkeit, zu erkennen, welches die ursprünglich vorhandenen
Schriften (nehme mal an, das sind die "Systemschriften") sind und welches später
hinzugefügte? gibt es irgendwo ne Liste von Schriften, die bei windows immer vorhanden sind?

und NT ist ja noch viel sparsamer ausgestattet.

NT ist ja auch ein ARBEITS-System .. eigtl. nicht für den typischen Heim-Anwender gedacht ... und wer professionell mit Typo arbeitet, der kauft sich halt seine schriften
