Do you know a script doing this?

Do you know a Java/DHTMLscript that does this effect:
It should look like writing on a typewriter, only that there shall not appear letters but little graphics.
The reason is, that I´m a fontmaker. I want to use this script on my intropage with a font I made. So I cannot use text, as the visitors most probably might not have installed the font. So I must use little graphics.
Who can help me, I´m desperately searching for such a script? I hope you can understand me, as I´m not a native English speaker.

have you ever thought about creating your intro with macromedia flash?

This would be my last possibility, thank you especially for the links.
I must say I would prefer Javascript, as for flash you would need a plugin and I want to have my page open for as many as possible.
